Angela's way of working
Angela is an empathic, compassionate, focused and dedicated practitioner. She works in an integrative way, meaning that she has knowledge of a number of therapeutic approaches and she tailors her approach to fit the unique needs and preferences of each person. Angela offers a range of counselling/psychotherapy approaches including Mindfulness-Based Therapy, DBT-Informed skills, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and Somatic Therapy. Her main approach to therapy is person-centred and she believes in developing a strong therapeutic relationship with each client in order to help bring about change.Angela's background and training
Angela has worked as a psychotherapist for over eight years. During this time she has worked at a hospital specialising in habitual behaviours. This has enhanced her understanding of trauma and adversity and enabled her to develop new skills. She has been facilitating a grief group for the last few years as well as groups focusing on childhood adversity.Angela is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), having completed a three year training course in Somatic Experiencing with the European Association for Somatic Experiencing.
Angela is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
