Carolina Rule is a counsellor/psychotherapist who works online with individual adults with a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety; low mood / depression; stress; anger/aggression; autism spectrum disorder; chronic illness; eating and body image issues; exam stress; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; mindfulness; neglect; pain; panic; phobias; relaxation; self-harm; and many more issues.
 

Carolina's way of working

Carolina is an empathetic and non-judgemental therapist who aims to provide a space in which individuals can feel safe to explore their feelings and experiences and work towards bringing about change, self-healing, and growth. 

Carolina integrates elements from a number of different therapeutic approaches into her work to enable each client to explore their difficulties holistically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually with the aim of providing a complete sense of personal wellbeing. These include: Counselling / Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy and Person Centred Therapy.

Carolina is bilingual and she is happy to work with clients who feel more comfortable speaking Spanish as well as with those who speak English.
 

Carolina's background and training

Carolina has several years' experience working as a pastoral counsellor in the Hispanic community - women's ministry.

She has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Aberdeen as well as training in Integrative Counselling (Christian Perspective), CBT Skills, and Psychotherapy. In addition, Carolina has a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and a Diploma in Business Management from Jose Antonio Anzoátegui University, Venezuela. 

Carolina is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
