Caroline's way of working
Caroline is an empathetic practitioner who works in an integrative and person-centred way. She is guided by what each person brings to therapy and their preferred style of communication, integrating techniques from a range of therapies/approaches to tailor sessions for each individual. Caroline aims to create a positive space where people can feel safe and supported, helping them to recognise unhelpful patterns of behaviour and develop more positive ways of thinking and being.Caroline's background and training
Caroline has wide-ranging experience in support roles. In her work as a counsellor and team manager, she has collaborated with schools and community services to provide assessments and deliver both individual and group counselling. In her therapeutic work with adults, she has supported adult survivors of childhood trauma. Caroline is a former police chief inspector with 30 years of experience. She has extensive experience in public protection, working specifically with child protection as well as domestic and sexual abuse.Caroline holds Diplomas in both Integrative Counselling and Counselling Children & Young People. She has also been awarded a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling from the University of Leicester.
Caroline is an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
