Carolyn Henzell Hill is an experienced counsellor / psychotherapist who works online with individual adults, young people and children (age 7+).

Carolyn is a warm, genuine and empathetic practitioner who aims to build a good and trusting therapeutic relationship with each client so they can feel comfortable exploring their issues and problems and finding ways to bring about change.  

Carolyn integrates elements from a number of approaches/techniques into her counselling/psychotherapy work to meet the individual needs and preferences of each client. These include Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis. 
 

Carolyn's background and training

Carolyn has experience working in a number of different settings including: 23 years working as a primary and special education needs teacher specialising in autism and neurodivergence; working in a group setting teaching complementary therapies to women who have experienced bereavement, domestic abuse, low self-esteem and mental health issues; working as a school counsellor; and working for a charity offering grief counselling. Carolyn also worked as a police officer with Northumbria Police. 

Carolyn has a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Pearson) , a Certificate in Counselling Studies (CPCAB), and a Certificate in Counselling Skills (Pearson)

Carolyn is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). 
 

Carolyn's fees
