These include DBT Informed Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis.
Carolyn's background and training
Carolyn has experience working in a number of different settings including: 23 years working as a primary and special education needs teacher specialising in autism and neurodivergence; working in a group setting teaching complementary therapies to women who have experienced bereavement, domestic abuse, low self-esteem and mental health issues; working as a school counsellor; and working for a charity offering grief counselling. Carolyn also worked as a police officer with Northumbria Police.Carolyn has a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Pearson), a Certificate in Counselling Studies (CPCAB), and a Certificate in Counselling Skills (Pearson).
Carolyn is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
