Hilary Foggin is a counsellor/psychotherapist who works online with individual adults with a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety; depression/low mood; stress; anger/aggression; assertiveness; autism spectrum disorder; bereavement/grief; body image; bullying; chronic illness; dreaming; exam stress; gender/sexual identity; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; mindfulness; neglect; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); phobias; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); relaxation; self-harm; trauma; and many more issues.

Hilary's way of working

Hilary offers a person-centred approach to counselling/psychotherapy which is based on Transactional Analysis – a style of therapy that focuses on social interactions and allows people to explore their role in the games people play. Hilary works with each client to explore their issues and the things they would like to change in their lives. She supports each individual as they work through their issues and problems and explore past issues that are causing distress in the present. She also encourages clients to explore situations that have stopped them achieving their full potential.

Hilary's background and training

Hilary has, over the years, supported people of all ages and genders, providing counselling for a carers agency. While working with people who are carers, Hilary has supported clients through the loss of their relationships, careers, freedom, and the loss around their goals for the future.

Hilary has a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

She is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Hilary's fee
