Jo is an empathetic practitioner who integrates elements from a range of therapy types/approaches into her counselling/psychotherapy work to meet the individual needs and preferences of each person. Approaches that she draws from include: Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.Jo's background and training
Jo has supported and managed people in various roles in the hostelling industry, in an HR capacity for the MOD, and for a private family business. Her interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and support others led her to train as a counsellor. Jo has experience of offering counselling and couples counselling in the third sector.Jo has a Diploma in Relational Counselling, a CBT Foundation, and a COSCA Skills Certificate.
Jo is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
