Kerry aims to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each client so they feel supported and able to talk openly and freely while also working hard to achieve their goals. She works in a person-centred, humanistic way in her counselling/psychotherapy work, favouring a more structured, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) approach. Kerry is passionate about ensuring that clients get the most from each session and from therapy as a whole.Kerry's background and training
Kerry has worked as a clinical support worker in various settings including in an inpatient unit of a hospital for children and young people; as an assistant practitioner for a paediatric outreach team; and providing therapeutic/support services for a number of charities.Kerry has a BSc in Psychology from Heriot Watt University. She is also currently in the advanced stages of a Doctorate in Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Kerry is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
