Dr Marie Robinson is an experienced senior counselling psychologist who works online with individual adults, couplesyoung people, children (age 8+) and families with a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety; depression; stress; abuse/neglect; assertiveness; autism spectrum disorder; bereavement/grief; body image; chronic illness; dreaming; eating disorders; exam stress; gender/sexual identity; insomnia; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; mindfulness; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); pain management/chronic pain; panic; personality disorders; phobias; post-natal depression; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); relationship concerns; relaxation; self-harm; and many more issues.

She offers a range of therapies including Counselling/PsychotherapyCognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), DBT-Informed Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness based Therapy and tailors her approach to meet the individual needs and preferences of each person. 
 

Marie's background and training

Marie has 14 years' clinical experience working as a psychologist or senior/lead psychologist in a range of settings including the NHS; domestic violence and occupational health settings; and in private practice. 

She has a PhD in Counselling Psychology and a Degree (hons) in Psychology, both from Teeside University. 

Marie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
