Vefy's way of working
Vefy is a compassionate and ethically grounded practitioner who works primarily from person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives. She is committed to creating a safe and attuned therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels right for them. Vefy works flexibly and can adapt her approach to the needs and preferences of each individual. Where appropriate, she draws on elements from other therapeutic models, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy (NT) and Play Therapy (PT).
As part of this flexible approach, Vefy may also incorporate somatic work, using gentle attention to bodily sensations, movement, and the “felt sense” - the subtle, internal bodily awareness of an experience that may be present before it can be fully expressed in words. This can support clients in connecting with their emotions and experiences in a safe and grounded way.
Vefy's background and experience
Vefy has experience supporting a diverse range of clients through her work in the charity sector, including unpaid carers, children and adults navigating family difficulties, and people who have recently experienced bereavement.
Vefy is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Psychotherapy & Counselling at The University of Edinburgh. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Huddersfield.
Vefy's fee
