Phil Wilkinson is a counsellor/psychotherapist who works online with individual adults across a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety, depression/low mood, stress, ADHD, abuse, assertiveness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anger management, bereavement/grief, body image, bullying, chronic illness, habitual behaviours, exam stress, isolation, life transitions, loneliness, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic, perfectionism, phobias, procrastination, trauma and many more issues.
 

Phil's way of working

Phil is a compassionate and empathetic practitioner who adopts a pluralistic approach to therapy, which recognises that different therapies suit different people. Working from a solid grounding in Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy, he strongly believes in the importance of collaboration and tailors sessions to suit each person's individual needs and preferences. Where appropriate for the client, he integrates elements from a variety of therapeutic models, including Behavioural Activation (BA), Interpersonal Therapy and Somatic Therapy.

Phil is committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment where everyone, including neurodivergent clients, can feel comfortable and supported.
 

Phil's background and training

Phil has experience providing individual counselling for adults in both private practice and the third sector. As part of these support roles, Phil has offered evidence-based assessments and support to clients with diverse mental health needs. He has also previously worked as an independent journalist and in the music industry.

Phil holds a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT & Groupwork from ACT Counselling Services and a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills.
 

Phil's Fee
