Victoria's way of working
Victoria is an empathetic and non-judgmental therapist who takes a humanist approach to therapy and believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with each client. She offers a number of different therapies including: counselling/psychotherapy, person-centred therapy and cognitive-behaviour therapy as well as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. She believes in tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet each client's individual needs and preferences.Victoria's background and training
Victoria has over five years' experience of working in support roles including working in a number of residential recovery services as a psychological consultant and subsequently offering one to one therapy. In addition, Victoria worked in a homeless resettlement project.Victoria has a doctorate in Applied Psychology (health psychology), an MSc in Health Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University, an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow, and a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate from Glasgow Caledonian University. In addition, she has a BA (hons) in History from The Open University.
Victoria is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
